The Works certainly did the WORKS for us. All glass, including windows and sliding doors, became invisible. Glass framing and railing metalwork was polished to perfection. We had a number of trees and planter boxes, as well as some furniture to move around to accommodate the amazing mopping machine, which cleaned the floor of the patio to its original shiny finish. Brant was only too happy to move things around. There’s no fear of complaints of water spilling over the edge of the patio because the mopping machine collects the water (which is very dirty) and stores it for disposal. Our experience with The Works was thoroughly satisfying and went beyond our expectations.
After 7 years of normal upkeep, my patio was nonetheless beginning to look grimy. It needed a total reset, and boy did it get one. There was not a surface that failed to receive a totally detailed, deep cleaning. It is now pristine, better than when I took ownership of the newly completed condo. 2. How do you clean a townhome patio?
It depends on your surface. Concrete and aggregate areas get a thorough pressure wash at the right pressure for the job. Coated membranes, vinyl, and composite decking get our Surface-Safe™ method - specialty scrub-and-extract equipment that deep cleans without the risk of pressure damage. Tile can go either way depending on the condition and coating. Most cleaners use one approach for everything. We use the right tool for the surface.
3. What surfaces can you clean?
All of them. Smooth and textured concrete, exposed aggregate, coated concrete, outdoor tile, vinyl deck membrane, composite decking, wood decking, and pavers. Each surface gets the right method and the right pressure for a safe, deep clean.
4. What else can you clean while you are there?
A lot. On top of the patio floor, you can add railing cleaning (glass, metal, wood, or mixed), exterior windows and sills, interior windows and sills, and patio furniture including frames and cushions. Everything is priced individually so you only pay for what you choose. Add two or more services and you unlock a bundle discount automatically.
5. How long does it take?
It depends on the size of your patio, the surface type, and the services you choose. A standard pressure wash on concrete typically takes 1 to 2 hours. Surfaces requiring our Surface-Safe™ method take longer due to the scrub and extract process. Add railings, glass, windows, or furniture, and you are looking at 2 to 4 hours or more. We will give you a time estimate when you book so you know exactly what to expect.
6. Are your cleaning products safe for my patio?
Yes. We use professional-grade cleaning solutions safe for all patio surfaces, including concrete, tile, composite decking, wood, rubber, and vinyl membrane. Safe for pets and plants too. We do not use harsh chemicals that strip coatings or damage sealed surfaces.
7. How often should I have my patio cleaned?
Every 3 to 4 months is ideal for Vancouver. Rain, pollen, and grime build up fast. Dirt that sits too long seeps into surface pores causing staining and wear that is much harder to remove over time.
8. Do I need to prep anything before you arrive?
Nothing. If we can access the patio and a water source (usually the kitchen sink), we are good to go. We move the furniture, plants, mats, and BBQs, clean everything underneath, and put it all back exactly how we found it. Any dirty water gets disposed of down the drain and we clean up after ourselves. Just open the door and point us to the patio.
